A New Chapter of Leadership: Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi to Lead CILT Nigeria

It is with immense gratitude and a profound sense of responsibility that I share exciting news regarding my continued journey in serving Nigeria’s vital transport and logistics sector. Following a truly engaging and forward-looking National Conference, I was deeply honoured to be elected as the National President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Nigeria for the 2025–2027 term.

This new chapter marks a significant milestone, and I am incredibly humbled by the trust and confidence placed in me by the esteemed members of CILT Nigeria. My swearing-in and the Institute’s Annual General Meeting are slated for October 23, 2025, at the Civic Centre, Lagos – an event I eagerly anticipate as we collectively chart a course for innovation and excellence.

A Continued Commitment to Transformation

Throughout my career, particularly during my tenure as Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), my focus has always been on fostering safer, more efficient, and sustainable transport systems. The principles of effective logistics and seamless transport administration are not just professional interests; they are the bedrock of national development and economic prosperity.

CILT Nigeria stands at the forefront of this crucial sector, driving professionalism, education, and advocacy. I believe that by working together, we can:

• Champion Innovation: Promote the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and best practices to optimize supply chains and transport networks.
• Influence Policy: Collaborate with government and stakeholders to shape policies that support a robust, integrated, and sustainable national transport infrastructure.
• Empower the Next Generation: Invest in training and mentorship programs to build a pipeline of skilled and visionary leaders for the future of our industry.

Looking Ahead: Collaboration and Progress

I am also pleased to note the ongoing vibrancy of our professional community, as evidenced by events like the upcoming 7th National Transport Conference of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (CIOTA), scheduled from November 4th to 6th, 2025, in Abuja. These platforms are invaluable for knowledge sharing, networking, and collective problem-solving.

As I prepare to take on this leadership role at CILT Nigeria, I am filled with optimism for what we can achieve. I look forward to collaborating with every member, stakeholder, and partner to advance our shared vision for a world-class transport and logistics ecosystem in Nigeria.
