Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, the former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), was elected National President of CILT Nigeria (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport), which is closely related to CIOTA.

The newly elected officers were sworn in at the Institute’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on October 23, 2025, in Lagos.

Upon his election, Dr. Oyeyemi presented a reform blueprint for his tenure titled “CILT Nigeria Finetuned,” which includes several key targets:

Legal Framework: Securing a legislative backing for the Institute, as it currently operates without formal legislative recognition.

Membership Growth: Aiming for a 60% membership growth and doubling corporate participation within four years.

Road Transport: Establishing a Road Transport Sector Council to improve collaboration with regulators like the FRSC and transport unions.

Professional Development: Introducing bridging courses and professional conversion tracks for fleet managers, safety officers, and logistics SMEs.

This election places him at the helm of a key professional body in the transport sector, succeeding Mfon Usoro.
