On 27th–28th July 2026, I had the privilege of participating in the 9th National Tourism & Transportation Summit and Expo, held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

The summit, themed “Tourism and Transportation: Building Connectivity and Mobility for Sustainable Development,” brought together stakeholders, industry leaders, policymakers, professionals and key players across the tourism and transportation sectors to exchange ideas and explore practical solutions for strengthening Nigeria’s mobility and tourism ecosystem.

For me, the event was more than a gathering—it was an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations around transport infrastructure, tourism development, connectivity, economic growth and sustainable mobility.

As Nigeria continues to develop its transportation systems and unlock the enormous potential of its tourism industry, collaboration between government, private-sector operators, professionals and other stakeholders remains essential.

I was particularly encouraged by the emphasis on creating stronger connections between transportation and tourism, two sectors capable of driving employment, trade, investment, cultural exchange and sustainable economic development.

The summit also provided valuable opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing and building relationships with individuals and organisations committed to shaping the future of Nigeria’s tourism and transportation landscape.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of this important conversation and look forward to contributing to initiatives that promote efficient transportation, sustainable tourism and stronger connectivity across Nigeria and Africa.
