I have been wondering why people struggle to amass so much unneeded riches and or steal our commwealth and also toil so much to hide or preserve them for their future generations so that their names will be immortalized. The most worrisome, is the pain and anguish people, particularly the rich ones go through every moment of their life regretting that they don’t have a male child who will retain and keep their name from extinction when they die.
The philosophy of life when interogated with a clear and moderate mind, will clearly show and confirm that those strings of worries are “worrying for, debts you don’t owe”.
Let me use the Amadi family of Owerri as a case study. On November 30th, I will be 62 years old having come into this world in 1962. As the 5th generation of the family when I was born, I did not meet my great-grandfather. So I never knew him and whatever he was or had. However, I met and knew my grandfather, Lawrence, a very educated and respected person and we all lived with him thereafter. My father, Clinton, apparently knew his grandfather, and his own father, Lawrence also knew his grandfather. This was the natural tree of succession.
Now, I have three children, Arthur 27, Angel 24, and Excellency Amadi 14. They never met my father, Clinton except my mother, Dorothy for about 10 years before she passed on in 2006. At the ages of 10, 7 and 4 before she departed, they probably will not have an entrenched memory of her in their minds. Their recall instincts will be imaginary in the circumstance. Fast forward, how would they remember my grandfather, Lawrence or great grandfather, Pa Nwamadi, who they never met. If my grandfather had deprived himself of a simple and recurring philanthropic lifestyle while alive because he wanted his children and grandchildren to always remember him in future and to also enjoy his wealth, it was obviously a waste of calculated ideas. A generation after 100 years goes into automatic extinction, not to talk of two generations. Nobody living today will experience another 100 years whether he is rich or poor. It then goes without sounding immodest, that all billionaires and poor people alive today would have been dead in the next 100 years.
So, I ask. Why do you struggle, betray trust and kill to accumulate all these excess earthly things while allowing people to starve to death because you want to preserve all wealth for your generation yet unborn as a REMEMBERANCE of your social status when you were alive ?
If you know that after every 100 years, the new generation hardly know that you ever passed this way except reading 📚 books, stories or watching videos of events including porn about you, then it becomes important that you reset your mindset and live an unbridled life of generosity with the wealth God has given you to share to with humanity. You will reset your mindset for the pursuit of happiness, which in reality is the very essence of life, and by so doing, you will acquire the skill of provoking the INTERNALLY GENERATED HAPPINESS” which I unapologetically advocate and practice daily till I depart. This internally generated happiness is independent of the presence of money or public positions, but wholly on who you are as a person within your family, committee of friends and your global environment. It will finally teach you that money, does not give HAPPINESS but only calms the nerves. Feel free to have the privilege of sharing this profound thought with our multi billionaires who sleep in the most luxurious air-conditioned bedrooms but are unable to happily sleep for more than two hours at night or, unlike the happy poor carpenter, mechanic, bricklayer that etc, etc that snore through out the night on a wooden bed with neither a pillow or fan. Such is the balance of nature. You win some, you lose some and life goes on.
Finally, many luxurious, provocative houses and country homes have a life span of 100 years. After 100 years they become desolate as those who may inherit it lack originality of its character and it’s purpose built expectations. Those who saw it when it was built will die before the 100 years, and those who inherit it, will unwillingly accept it’s nuisance value. So why all these hassles, greed and killings about piling up so much personal riches and much more heartless, appropriating people’s commonwealth to yourself as a public officer.
If do a cross-check, you will notice that all the public officers who either misappropriated, misapplied, stolen, looted or embezzled public funds while in office, don’t invest on visible activities like factory, industry, university etc, etc in their States or local government areas which ofcourse, would have provided employment to their people and minimized hardship. They will rather invest their ill- gotten wealth overseas in hidden bank accounts, equities using spv, cronies who eventually re-loot the looted funds. They are equally afraid that in the event of an uprising like the OTOKOTO saga, they will loose the investments since they are identifiable. Under the natural law of KARMA, HOW MANY OF THEM DIE WELL AND WHAT HAPPENS TO THE VAST WEALTH AND THEIR CHILDREN? Your guess is as good as mine. So, be kind and Happy always.
His Grace is sufficient ✨
